Welcome
Cedarcroft Press is a Pacific Northwest publisher, which, for the last decade, has specialized in books for gardeners. The maritime Northwest enjoys one of the most favorable horticultural climates in the world and has come to be recognized as one of the most innovative and inspiring destinations for gardening enthusiasts worldwide. Through our publication of the Northwest Gardeners' Resource Directory we are proud to have been a part of these exciting developments over the last ten years.
We are pleased to announce that the Ninth and future editions of this respected title will be published by Sasquatch Books in Seattle. Sasquatch, long known for its publication of the acclaimed "Best Places" series, has an excellent and impressive list of gardening publications by the best authors of the Pacific Northwest, including the likes of Dan Hinkley, Ann Lovejoy and Valerie Easton. For health reasons Stephanie Feeney will no longer be able to take an active role in the compilation of future editions and Sasquatch has chosen Northwest garden writer Debra Prinzing as the new editor for future editions of the Directory. We are pleased to see that the Directory will continue to be published and believe that Debra and the team at Sasquatch will do an excellent job.
In late 2000, Stephanie died from terminal cancer, having passed on her brilliant ideas, hand-written notes, boxes of records and an extensive slide library to Debra – and having encouraged the Northwest Gardeners' Resource Directory transition from Cedarcroft Press, the publishing company she owned with her husband Larry Feeney, to Sasquatch Books of Seattle. This generosity of spirit and love enabled her essential guide to live on and allow gardeners everywhere to use and enjoy it.

In Memoriam Of Stephanie FeeneyFor Stephanie Feeney, The Northwest Gardeners’ Resource Directory was a labor of love for over 15 years. Her deep fascination and love for gardening lead her to the pursuit of little-known resources or "hot tips" about gardening throughout the Northwest region that became a passion; which later became the first edition of her book. Sadly, Feeney passed away on 2000, yet her amazing contribution to the gardening world lives on The Northwest Gardeners' Resource Directory and its future editions.
